The Virginian uses multiple fields in the Lorton, Virginia area. Exact field locations and addresses are posted by the tournament organizers closer to the event date. Check soccertournament.com for the most up-to-date field information. Our team will be at the fields — you'll find us.

Do I need to reserve in advance or can I rent on-site?

Advance reservations are strongly recommended — they guarantee your gear is there when you arrive, already set up at your field. We do bring extra inventory for walk-up rentals at our headquarters tent, but selection is limited and availability is first-come, first-served. Reserve ahead to lock in your spot.

What happens if games are cancelled due to weather?

If The Virginian is officially cancelled or significantly shortened due to weather, we'll work with you on a full refund or a credit toward a future event. We're parents too — we understand how frustrating weather disruptions are. If you have concerns about a specific day, reach out to us directly and we'll find a fair solution.

What age groups and divisions are offered?

The Virginian offers Boys and Girls divisions from U9 through U19 across four competition levels. Whether your team is playing in their first tournament or competing at the elite level, there's a division. Visit GotSport to see all registered teams and group breakdowns.

How do I find the Sideline Society setup at the fields?

Accepted Answer

If you reserved in advance, your gear will already be set up at your designated field area when you arrive — just look for the Sideline Society branded setup. We'll also have a central headquarters tent where you can find us for walk-ups, questions, or add-ons. When you receive your confirmation, we'll include any field-specific notes.
