The Coach's Partner
Technically a sideline parent but operating on a completely different level. They know every player's name, every parent's situation, and exactly what the coach said at halftime last week. Deeply essential to the whole operation.
The Wanderer
Their kid plays for a team at a completely different field. They appear on your sideline anyway. No one knows why. No one asks. They stay for two full games and leave without explanation.
The Loud One
Not mean. Not wrong most of the time. Just loud. Every call, every goal, every near-miss, every offside that wasn't called. You've started to find it strangely comforting, like white noise with opinions.
The One Who Brought Too Much
Full canopy with side walls, a folding table, a Bluetooth speaker, a mini battery fan, matching chairs. You want to quietly judge them. You also want to be them. You mostly just want to stand near them and benefit from the shade.
