Why We Started This (The Chair Story)

It started the way most honest ideas start — not with a business plan or a market analysis, but with a problem that was annoying enough, for long enough, that someone finally decided to do something about it.

"What if the gear was just already there?"

— The question that started Sideline Society

The problem was the car. Specifically, what was in it every single tournament weekend. Chairs, a tent that took three people and twenty minutes to assemble correctly, a cooler, bags of gear, and somehow never quite everything you needed. And then, at the end of the day, all of it back into the car, sandy and damp and slightly worse than when it left. Every weekend. For years.

We looked around the sideline one morning and realized something: everyone here is dealing with the same thing. Every family loading and unloading the same gear, weekend after weekend. Every parent standing in the heat because the chair situation didn't work out again. Every sibling melting down because there was nowhere comfortable for them to be.

And then we asked the obvious question that somehow nobody had answered yet:

What if the gear was just already there?

That's Sideline Society. The chairs, the tent, the cooler — waiting at the field when you arrive, taken care of when you leave. You show up for your kid and the game. We handle the rest.

It's a simple idea. The best ones usually are.
